Beach Handball has arrived to Navarre, and Perfinasa has wanted to be part of this novelty by sponsoring the women’s handball team of the Navarre Handball Federation. 

Javier Antúnez, general manager of Perfinasa, signed a collaboration and sponsorship agreement with the president of the Navarre Handball Federation, Andrés Garde. 

Likewise, Perfinasa has also actively collaborated in the facilities, and has participated in the construction project of a sand sports court launched in the Ezcabarte Valley – in which its new factory is located – to play this new sport in the best conditions. In this way, the new court will allow Navarre’s teams not to have to travel to other places to play the tournaments. 

The facilities were built for the Navarre Handball Federation, but the idea is that it can be used for other sports such as beach volleyball, rugby or football. 

Beach handball is characterized by playing barefoot on a sandy beach, as its name indicates. Two teams made up of 4 players participate in this sport, including the goalkeeper. The spectacle is guaranteed by the double value of the goals scored with throws in the air after a complete aerial 360º turn.

Now are in the complicated time of year for outdoor sports, but spring and summer will return and we will again enjoy this exciting type of handball. Come and watch, and why not, play it!
